Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Association of Batterer Intervention Providers to encourage safe and effective policies, procedures and programs among batterer intervention providers by:
 | seeking and utilizing feedback from formerly battered women and battered women’s advocates; |
| educating batterer intervention providers about the strengths and weaknesses of the various approaches to intervention and be open to challenges to our own perspectives and practices; |
| openly communicating with other family violence intervention organizations about the work of the members of the association; |
| collaborating with other agencies and disciplines for the implementation of a coordinated community response to battering; and, |
| conducting coordinated community education about battering and batterer intervention. |
The Association of Batterer Intervention Providers has developed Standards in cooperation with the St. Louis Region of the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence. To view the Standards, click here.
