Yungas Road – Bolivia
Known as the Death Road, this 40 mile downhill trek is on a narrow dirt path and is located near La Paz. It used to be a heavily traffic route for shipping and carrying goods.
At one point in it’s history, 200 to 300 people died each your, traveling on Yungas Road. It boasted a sheer 2000 foot cliff, waterfalls, mudslides, and rockfalls. Hence where the name Death Road came from.
Strada Delle 52 Gallerie – Italy
Road with 52 galleries is the translation. This is an old World War 1 mility suppoly path and is said to be roaming with the military souls of those gone by. The 52 galleries are tunnels cut into the mountain. They where used to protect the soldiers so the ycould shoot at the on coming enemies.
It was builtin 1917. The road is considered one of the most scenic in the world, and yet is widely held as incredibly dangerous.
